Kids' Choice Awards

Kid’s Choice Awards 2024

The yearly flagship event for Nickelodeon and celebrating kids’ choice, which is one of the biggest projects tackled. The scope of the campaign is separated into two phases. The first phase consists of moodboards and concepting the actual look for the year, eventually resulting in the creation of the definitive style guide and all assets that build the look. This is then passed on to the rest of the company to start translating the look into motion and to create other auxiliary assets.

Phase two comes closer to the actual show date, where event collateral is designed in-house like tickets and credentials. Partnering with external vendors, work starts on managing and designing all the events that happen around the awards. These include a slew of events for clients leading up to the show, along with other awards-specific moments like the Orange Carpet and After Party.

I've designed and concepted the branding behind each Kids Choice Awards from 2016 through 2025, with every year being different. This year we wanted to combine elements from Nickelodeon's updated rebrand with a birthday celebration of SpongeBob (who turned 25 the day after the show). For this specific year I've helped to design icons, environmental design, compositions, and premiums.

For the additional events I art directed our production vendors, supplying additional design where needed. We also worked closely together to ideate specific activations across the events while keeping everything on brand.

After Party

We teamed up with the 15|40 productions and multiple influencers to have the biggest shellabration in honor of SpongeBob. Partner influencers all brought gifts for SpongeBob’s birthday, just like this 25ft sponge built by Matthew Beem.

Guests entered through a giant splat and could explore other activations including a inflatable slide and museum pineapple, Mrs. Puff’s bumper cars, jellyfish jam dancefloor, and a yellow maze through iconic SpongeBob quotes.

Welcome Pier Party

In partnership with the Paramount Events team, and as part of the opening weekend celebration for Kid's’ Choice Awards, the Santa Monica Pier is shut down and overtaken with the show branding. Partner clients & their families are then welcomed in for a night of all inclusive fun.

Additional Kids’ Choice Awards looks available upon request.
